Master Full-Stack Web Development with Laravel & PHP
Master Full-Stack Web Development with Laravel & PHP is designed for aspiring web developers and backend engineers who want to build modern, secure web applications using one of the most popular PHP frameworks.
You'll start by exploring PHP fundamentals and learning how to install Laravel, as well as how PHP integrates with HTML to power server-side scripting. Through hands-on lessons, you'll master Laravel's elegant structure, routing system, and MVC architecture while building real-world applications.
In the second module, you'll dive into advanced Laravel concepts including controllers, views, database migrations, and Eloquent ORM relationships. You'll learn to implement middleware and authentication systems, use the Blade templating engine, and manage complex database interactions that power dynamic web applications.
The third module focuses on integrating PHP with Laravel for secure application development. You'll implement CSRF protection, session security, user input validation, and learn to develop RESTful APIs with proper controller design and validation functions. This module ensures your applications meet industry security standards.
The final module brings everything together through a comprehensive project series where you'll build a complete Laravel application, applying all concepts learned throughout the course. You'll gain experience in project organization, Laravel documentation usage, and deploying applications using the latest version of Laravel.
By the end of this course, you will confidently:
1. Build and deploy complete web applications using the Laravel framework and PHP
2. Implement secure coding practices, authentication, and database management with Laravel migration
3. Develop RESTful APIs and integrate external PHP libraries within Laravel applications
4. Apply Laravel documentation and best practices to create scalable, maintainable web applications
5. Launch production-ready projects and qualify for PHP developer and Laravel specialist roles
This course is ideal for those who:
- Want a step-by-step, hands-on introduction to the Laravel framework and PHP web development
- Are new to backend development or looking to upskill with modern PHP frameworks
- Prefer learning by doing and applying knowledge to real-world projects

This has to be the most poorly produced course I've ever taken on Coursera, and I've taken many.
a) the quality of the audio and video leaves much to be desired
b) the narration is barely audible or understandable in many places
c) several of the quizzes have incorrect solutions (also, in at least one, it even tells you the answer is correct and then marks it as incorrect)
d) the course content is poorly produced, with little thought seeming to have gone into it. There are many, many instances of the narrator forgetting to do something and getting errors, and then appearing to make it seem as if that's what he intended to demonstrate to begin with.
e) ... I could go on. The list is long! Honestly, it's just a terrible waste of time course.
I'm so glad that I did the course for free and wasn't silly enough to pay for it. Seriously, please save your money if you're thinking about purchasing this course; there are far, far better videos about learning Laravel on YouTube, and you'll learn far more.
My overall impression of this course is that it's a complete waste of time, and that it was produced by someone who barely had any mastery of Laravel themselves, and who has little idea about audio and video production.
Save your time and money, and you'll find better courses for free elsewhere.

very bad, he made a lot of mistakes and cut the part he solved it in, I wouldn't recommend him to anyone starting as a beginner in Laravel, and a lot of important part is skipped.

Terrible course, bad quality video and audio. They skip important parts of the process or get stuck and try to make it seem like it was on purpose during the edit. One video is completely frozen and you can only hear the audio.
Waste of time except for the certificate for my LinkedIn profile

I recently took this Laravel course, and overall, I think it’s a great starting point for anyone looking to get into the framework. It covers a lot of the essential concepts you need to know, and I walked away with a solid understanding of the basics. That said, I did find it a bit challenging as someone completely new to Laravel. While the core ideas are explained, I think the course could shine with some tweaks to make it more beginner-friendly.
For example, the section on routing does a good job of introducing the concept, but I felt like it could use more practical examples. It would’ve been helpful to see how different route types—like GET and POST—are used in real-world scenarios. The same goes for Eloquent ORM. It’s such a powerful tool, but I think diving deeper with hands-on examples would make it easier to grasp. Sometimes, it’s the little things, like seeing how to query a database or update records, that help things click.
One thing I think would take this course to the next level is adding a project-based approach. Imagine working through a small project, like building a blog or a to-do list app, from start to finish. It would be such a great way to tie everything together and see how all the concepts you’re learning apply in practice. Plus, it’s always satisfying to have something tangible to show for your effort at the end!
Don’t get me wrong—this course is a solid foundation, and I learned a lot from it. But with a few adjustments, like more beginner-friendly examples and a project to work on, I think it could be an even more effective and engaging resource for anyone diving into Laravel for the first time. It’s already good, but it has the potential to be truly excellent!

Video talking is bad, sometimes voice is unaudible, explanations are too much generalists... Laravel is not so easy as the course states.

Content covers basics of php and laravel (not mastery), the readings are full of broken links, the videos are low quality and you spend a lot of time watching someone type slowly. The assignment is not challenging.

The course was disorganized. Audio was bad. The video is not in sync with the audio, where the speaker is talking about one screen while the video is showing another. The instructor just reads off the slides. The quizzes asks questions about topics in later sections, the questions repeat multiple times in the same quiz, the questions are extremely vague.

I almost feel like i am scammed after buying this. The lecturer seems to be lacking in the subject mastery, makes a lot of error like every single time, has bad audio quality, skips important parts, vague and unclear explanations.
