This course introduces you to container technologies and how they can be used to modernize your applications, as well as exploring how different AWS services can be used to manage and orchestrate those containers. Container technologies have existed for years, and are still gaining popularity. Two of the most prevalent options are Docker and Kubernetes - each with its own distinct set of features. Regardless of which technology you choose, one of the biggest challenges with containers is their orchestration. Unlike traditional, monolithic applications where you can only scale at a macro level - an executable, for example - containerized applications scale at the container level. When coupled with a microservices approach, each container can contain the code necessary to execute a single task or function. While this provides a number of benefits, a single application can consist of hundreds of containerized microservices. How do you handle starting, stopping, scaling out and scaling in all of these containers? AWS offers a number of services that help with container orchestration, including Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS), Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Amazon Lightsail, and Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR). Throughout this course, expert instructors will dive deep into these services as well as general container technologies and capabilities. This course uses a combination of video-based lectures, delivered by AWS technical trainers, demonstrations, and hands-on lab exercises to enable you to deploy and manage a containerized application.

I'd not consider this introductory. If you have ample exposure to the AWS ecosystem, then this is a great tutorial to learning docker and ECS. The Kubernetes introduction with EKS was less useful.

I would like to see more workshops in courses such as this, and more simple challenge exercises. The teachers and the instructions were very thorough for a beginner level course.

Incomplete instructions in videos. The instructor doesn't explain huge lines of code and just skips through them by just reading them. They assume we know everything and just read the code. Skip explaining lots of parts. Makes this course very confusing. This has to be remade by putting more thought into it.
Great course with great instructors. Be aware that the labs use Cloud9, which is no longer supported for new AWS users. You have to use CloudShell or another AWS IDE. It takes work to translate the lab instructions to work with CloudShell (I used MS CoPilot to help).
Outdated content, impossible to follow the exercies without experience.
I think the Containerized Applications on AWS course is designed to help individuals design and build secure, reliable and scalable AWS-based applications. I feel rather honored and thank AWS Masters for arranging for me to join this project. I wish to thank all of you for your belief in my abilities and in my IT skills.

Great course very well done. Useful to understand more of AWS services that manage containers, like ECS, EKS, Lambda, AppRunner and more. The exercises may use some AWS credit, but are very useful and very well written. I reccomend this course
